Note: Since the hostels are undergoing renovation, we will not be taking in new hostel admissions for the academic year 2024-25. We aim to continue admissions the year after that, with refurbished and extended hostels, catering to 70% of our student strength. We are excited to offer the best residential facilities to our students.

Welcome to Jnana Ganga Central School (JGCS), Bellare, Sullia, DK, which is nestled in a lush green 7.5-acre campus in coastal Karnataka. Founded in 1998, we were the first CBSE-affiliated school in the region and the third in the district and offer classes from Play Group up to Class X.
Our campus is situated in a serene location, far from the hustle and bustle of the town. This tranquil setting provides an ideal learning environment, free from distractions. Students can fully immerse themselves in their studies and explore their passions without any interruptions. It’s the perfect place to nurture their academic and holistic development.
We’re proud to have established our school in a rural area that’s brimming with highly intellectual and competitive individuals. The school management puts in sustained efforts to closely collaborate with parents and locals, enhancing the quality of education offered.
The school makes it a priority to serve nutritious and wholesome meals to students. We ensure that our meals are freshly prepared and hygienic, using locally available organic vegetables. Our diligent team of support staff maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our campus. In addition, we offer transportation facilities with well-experienced drivers, for a secure commute for our students. Safety is our top priority, and we take every measure to ensure a comfortable and reliable transportation service.
Our hostels have been our pride. Spacious, bright and well-lit, every hostel building is well equipped with all standard requirements. Individual cot, storage facility, study table, Wi-Fi, attached washrooms, laundry facility and hygienic food ensure that the student is comfortable and has all requirements of pursuing a hassle-free student life.

Jnana Ganga Central School opened the gates of its campus in June 1998 to its first co-educational intake of students. It is the first CBSE school located in Bellare, 78 km south west of Mangaluru. The school is constructed on a 7.5-acre campus that is conducive to the students’ learning and development. The quality of education, values and principles practiced as well as the infrastructure and facilities have attracted students from not only Sullia Taluk but also beyond, and today we have grown to our full capacity of 900 students.
JGCS provides on-going professional development to staff, teachers and students. We believe that students learn and succeed in a multicultural community through partnerships among school, family and community and take collective responsibility for developing their potential towards excellence.

Dear Parents and my aspiring and enthusiastic young learners,
With lot of warmth and affection, I welcome you all to be a part of the JGCS family. I feel privileged and honored to start my journey as the Principal with Jnana Ganga, which is one of the most sought-after schools in this rural region. As the school completes its twenty-fifth year, it is important to share the vision ahead so that we can bring out the best in each and every child with all the available potential, material and human resource. As the head of the institution, it is my foremost responsibility to extend my commitment and sincerely shoulder all the assigned roles and responsibilities so that we can work towards achieving the vision of our school – ‘Towards Excellence’.
I firmly believe that although a school is considered to be a place for providing mass education we must be able to understand the needs and learning style of every single child (Every Child Matters) and we must be able to cater to and respect her or his needs and pace so that they grow in a happy, healthy and holistic manner.
Multilingualism is considered a necessity in today’s global scenario and we are committed to pay attention towards our Language Learning program in order to make students as fluent in English as in their mother tongues.
The entire staff of JGCS will be undergoing training programs CPD (Continuous Professional Development) in between the session to brush up and update their teaching skills so that we leave no stone unturned to provide the best to our students. We will also be organizing parenting sessions, as I feel, until and unless the parents and school act as equal partners nothing can be achieved, because we share a common goal.
I’d like to assure parents that we believe it is your right to know all important developments and information regarding your child’s academic and co-curricular performance.
